Lisa L. Jones, MD, FACOG Dr. Lisa Jones is a Board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist. She earned her MD from Louisiana State University, and completed her OB/GYN residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas. She joined Carolina Women's Health Center in 1993. In her free time Dr. Jones enjoys cooking, swimming, and windsurfing.
Tiffany Flanagan, MD, FACOG
Dr. Tiffany Flanagan earned her MD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and completed her postgraduate training at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Ob/Gyn. She enjoys bowling, hiking, teaching Sunday school and watching most competitive sports.
Margaret "Peg" Davis, CNM
Peg received her BSN from the University of Vermont in l972. She received her MSN in Midwifery from East Carolina University. Peg has 4 children and 12 grandchildren (8 of which she delivered). She enjoys working with stained glass, cross stitching and reading.
Karen Sheffield, MSN,CNM
Karen M. Sheffield MSN, CNM joined Carolina Women's Health Center in March 2016. She provides obstetric, gynecologic and primary care to women from adolescence through menopause. Karen received her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Yale University School of Nursing and became certified as a Nurse-Midwife in 2005. Prior to her relocation to North Carolina in 2009, Karen worked in a private practice as the director of midwifery services providing full scope women's health care in Connecticut. Currently, Karen is pursuing her Ph.D in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research interests focus on the integration of complementary health approaches for the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders in women. She is a mother of three beautiful children and enjoys spending time with her family. Karen is currently taking new patients and looks forward to meeting your obstetric, gynecologic and primary care needs.
Janet Intini, CNM
Janet recieved her Diploma of Nursing from West Suburban Hospital School of Nursing in Oak Park II, her BSN from the University of the State of NY, Regent College. For the next 17 years she worked as a labor and delivery nurse while home-schooling her children. She then graduated from East Carolina University College of Nursing with Masters in Midwifery. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, volunteer work with organizations like Midwives for Haiti, scuba diving, and gardening. She is eagerly anticipating the arrival of her first grandchild!
Amanda Shackelford, CNM
After 20 years as a Labor & Delivery nurse, Amanda earned her Masters in Midwifery from East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. She enjoys hiking, learning new things and spending time with her family.
