Financial Policy

It is important that you have a clear understanding of our financial policy. Please ask our staff if you have any questions about our fees, financial policy or your responsibility as this is important to our professional relationship.

Insured Patients

If we have a contract with your insurance company, we will collect your co-pay and/or deductible at the time of service and submit a claim on your behalf. You will need to bring your insurance card to each appointment to make sure that we maintain current insurance information.

If you need medical care and do not have your insurance card, we will request payment in full at time of service. If you provide the insurance information within the claim filing deadlines, we will be happy to submit a claim for you and reimburse you for any overpayment.

If you have lab tests, biopsies, pap smears or cultures, LabCorp will bill your insurance company. Our office may charge a specimen handling and/or venipuncture fee.

Surgery and OB Charges: We will bill your insurance company for surgery and delivery fees. Anticipated deductible and co-payments must be paid prior to scheduled surgery or the 7th month of pregnancy.

Uninsured Patients

Payment in full is due at the time of service for all office visits and/or procedures. We accept cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.

Non-Contracted Insurance

If we are not contracted with your insurance company, we will not submit a claim to them. Payment for gynecological services is due at time of service. We will be happy to provide you with an encounter form so that you may file a claim on your own. The only exception to this would be for surgical procedures and maternity care. We will submit claims on your behalf even though we do not have a contract with them. Payment arrangements will be made.

Non-covered Services

Your insurance company may not pay for all medical services. If you are not sure if a service is covered, please contact your insurance company in advance. When a service is not covered by your insurance company, you will be personally responsible for the bill. We cannot change information on an insurance claim for the purpose of insurance coverage.
